450 Midwood Crescent, part 2
Midwood's main server is receiving an upgrade due to lack of ability to handle the load imposed by IIS, ASP.NET, VSS, MP3/movie streaming, file serving, DVD compressing, et cetera.
This prompted the construction of a quick Excel summary of Midwood's computing power and memory resources.
I am mildly disturbed that our house contains 4700% more memory in RAM than my first computer did in hard drive space. It's also strange that although we have 8 LCD screens in the house, we have no CRTs.

Songs to Format Your Computer By
It seems that a computer is being formatted more or less once a month when you're hanging around softies. Whether it's because it's bogged down by years of use, or infested with too many viruses to hand-remove, there's always a need for some appropriate send-off music. I present my Format-a-Computer Playlist for easy reference.
Banarama - Na na na na, hey hey, good bye
Beatles - I'm only sleeping
Ben Moody - The end has come
Bernard Hermann - Twisted nerve
Green Day - Good riddance
Paul Simon - Fifty ways to leave your lover
Rod Stewart - Everytime we say goodbye
