Speakers on campus
Attending UW has been a great opportunity to hear some very influential speakers in the world of computer science, including:
I'm not sure what it says about our industry that people only ever want to talk about its future, and never about its current state.
- Bill Gates, on the future of computing
- Richard Stallman, on the future of copyright
- Andy Tanenbaum, on the future of kernel design
- Vint Cerf, on the future of the Internet
- Bjarne Stroustrup, on the future of C++
I'm not sure what it says about our industry that people only ever want to talk about its future, and never about its current state.
