Yargh, bad Cocoon.
Just when you think it's safe to turn on SSL and release something...
So apparently turning on SSL in Tomcat/Cocoon does some funky stuff and Internet Explorer now dies on dynamically generated PDFs. Wonderbar.
I guess I now investigate the (annoying) intermediary step of dumping the PDF to a file, and then serving the PDF statically..... yay, I'll have to add another authentication step to deal with that. How very uncool.

Ah, bonne fĂȘte Canada.
Yay. A day off work. Slept in til 3. Assaulted a friend of mine whose MSN name had many potshots at Stephen Harper, leader of the Conservatives. Later, the same individual sends me a GMail invite -- "Even supporters of the Conservatives deserve GMail." Ah, just like their kind. Trying to buy votes. It might even work. . .
Then to Columbia Lake where UW put on a nifty fireworks show. On the way home, I also got to see a lot of amateur shows, which was nifty. Nothing like the "Oh, fuck, shit, look out!" followed by a high-pitched whistling and a *BOOM*!
Hello, July. You're looking like a mighty fine month.
